The Titanic song was out of place...

and also, you really need to work more on your style. The animation was impressive, but the way the characters were drawn was not.

And the voices were pretty bad, esp. near the end when one of them was REALLY loud.

I'm still giving you an 8 though, because that must have taken a lot of work...

Ok thanx

"Duck"

I liked how you added those pictures describing what the characters were saying. "Duck" made me laugh!

I'm sorry, but...

your movie formula is getting old... it's just not working any more. That wasn't interesting or funny, apart from that one spot where the hammer crushes that guy holding it.

Other than that, this was SLOW, poorly edited, just really NOT FUNNY and required 0 skill or imagination on your part. Could you please do something DIFFERENT next time? Your submissions are getting to be like Disney in the late 90s; same old crap over and over. Eventually even the most avid fans will get bored.

About those "minor unrealistic details"...

I know you said you don't want me to talk about them, but I must do that since I'm reviewing this movie. I gave your "style" a higher mark than your "graphics", because I think that you can still do better in terms of graphics, especially in terms of realistic body and face proportions. my suggestion to you would be to practice drawing these things frequently, until they "look right" and it's second nature to you. It may take a while...

As for the story; it's not bad as it stands right now (I recognise that this is the first episode... a lot of things are left unexplained which may be worth following up on), but I see future episodes of this running a high risk of becoming nothing more than shallow action flicks. PLEASE don't let this happen; what you should do is expand your story. There are enough cheap action flicks on Newgrounds already!

One complaint: the music is too soft, the sounds are too loud... also when the rock music starts at the, it's too loud compared to the previous music.

One final note, I generally liked how you drew your characters, but I think that the face with purple hair at the end is far less interesting than the original face for that character that you drew before he picks up the sword.

Good job!

To the previous reviewer, GhettoMofo...

I guess you can't read, because otherwise you would have noticed that Aura and Aura: Story Mode was moved off NG a while ago and replaced with the poster that you see. I can only assume this means that Aura 3 is finally coming to completion, which is a very, very good thing. :D
Work hard, Aleksandr, your fans are waiting! :p

As for Aura, I'll review it from memory: Not much of a story (there really wasn't a lot of story in Aura: Story Mode either, though more than here), and the animation is very awkward (because you drew it with your left hand, I presume), especially in "animation gaps", such as where the main character stops walking and is suddenly standing; seems like there should be a few frames of animation in between. However, it was edited together pretty well and the use of music gave it a great atmosphere, which is why it went on to win 2nd place.

An honest portrayal

The trick to not having a mindset like that is living in nice communities. It substantially improves your self esteem and makes you a more successfull person later in life, because you learn to really just laugh at people who make fun of you, and you become less of a target for bullies in general.
I definitely understand where you're coming from, though, although thank god I never had it nearly as bad.

That was very well done! Good animation and good music (I usually hate Korn but it fit this animation very well); only thing is, when he punches the guy I think the same animation lasts for too long.

Very good

I like this one much better than your 8th submission (I was never one for senseless gore)... actually I think I like it as much as your better Salad Fingers Episodes.

You'll notice that I gave you a 10 for style but a 7 for graphics... your style is amazing, but you need to put more effort into animating it realistically. For example, where are the boy's feet??

Also, the sound was out of balance; the music was too quiet and the other stuff was too loud. Maybe you should fix that...

As always, though, you get a high mark because of the originality of this piece.

This should be on the front page

And how, HOW does this have such a low score? Damn it, this made my cry!
I'm Russian too, so I understood all of what they said.

This is a very, very special flash, well done in all respects; beautiful animation, good voices, only the music was SLIGHTLY annoying. I'll bet people are giving it a low score just because it's in Russian. Be a little more open-minded everyone! This film probably applies to YOU as well.

One step forward, one step back...

I really liked how you made it almost "touching" sometimes; adding an "emotional" story to Salad Fingers was really unexpected.

However, I feel that at the same time you had less weirdness and grotesquerie in this movie than in your previous ones, which is definetely a negative. ie. Rubbing his hands against the bars isn't really that weird anymore, especially after you raised the bar so high in Episode 2!

Put in more weirdness than before (not randomness; that's what ruined Episode 3) AND develop the style that you used in Episode 4, and you'll have something very good on your hands!

BTW, the animation keeps getting better, so good job.

Ha ha! Amazing!

This is one of the best comedic movies I've ever seen on Newgrounds, right up there with "Europe and Italy"!
Wonderful! I'm surprised this doesn't have a higher score...

Feel free to PM me if you want to see the scores to any of my music.
