[A Decline Christmas]

Hey, why don't you put a GP32 in your next one?

Since we ALL know (those of us who own GP32s at least) that this obscure handheld presents the best use for those memory cards that you hung up by the fireplace; put as many Genesis/NES/SNES/etc. games as you want on it and play them fullspeed on the many emulators that are out for the system. ;)
A company called GBAX is selling them in the UK (that's where I got mine from, though I live in Canada).

Anyway, the flash was great; these are getting better and better, and the humour was spot-on. Great job! I especially liked the scene selection. ;)

Why is this #1?

Do the rest of you hate originality or something? This flash exemplifies everything that I don't like about Japanime. I realize it was meant to be a satire... I just hope that the rest of you realize that also, because I have a feeling that there is quite a huge number of people who LIKE these awful animation techniques (that were originally created so that the animators wouldn't have to work as hard). Bah!

To the submitter... please make something more in your OWN style next time.

In places...

...it IS a little sloppy, in the drawings. Of course, there were some amazing parts, but there were other parts where it looked like you were drawing with a tool that was too big for the details that you wanted to put in there. Just as one example, the upper window of the house looks like it was drawn very quickly... the lines are all wiggly, the frame is different widths...

the music was great, though.

P.S. Why is it that in most asian-style anime cartoons little girls always have some sorts of super-powers (like being able to swing up trees and over rivers)?

Gorgeous music!

Being musically inclined myself, I definitely see why you are so proud of your composition! I found myself paying more attention to the music than to the actual animation, which seemed secondary. The music gets a 10/10.

The animation (what little of it there was) gets an 8/10. I like it how you obviously have a unique style. My only suggestion to you would be to make sure all of the "effects" are in the same style as the animation of the characters (or vice versa).

My high score of this piece, despite its lack of a great many things, is due to how much the excellent music overshadowed everything else. I can only hope that the music in the finished movie will be as good!

DVD?

Maybe in the future you could release a DVD of this series, with cleaned-up graphics, etc. would be pretty cool (the graphics currently are very good but choppy & sometimes inconsistent; i.e. when they're sitting down at the end, Khal's arm looks wider than it should be)!

Oh, and the dialogue was very good also, voice acting and all! I don't agree at all with the guy who said that Khal's voice was annoying.

[Marcus Peblo Quadrilogy]

A mixed bag

The effects were wonderful, and the beginning was very good and funny. But I HATED the way that the little baby was drawn, with his ass & huge eyes. The character drawing for him was complete crap! It severely ruined the feeling of quality.

Also, the editing was chaotic, confusing, and tiring. The could have been much better if you'd kept the same pace that you had in your introduction.

[Renaissance]

Very good

The storyboarding was excellent; I loved how the scenes corresponded to the dong so beautifully. Also, the art was pretty good. A thing about the art, though; I wish you'd work a little more on giving your animations a FINISHED look. As it is, there are effects in the flash the don't seem to go with the general feel of the flash, your perspectives are often wrong (ex. the can rolling on the pavement), and people also don't look finished; they just don't look the shape of an actual realistic human. There seem to be a mash of different styles, even in the way that you draw one particular person, that don't flow together very well. Which is a shame, because as I said the editing is great and I think you're certainly CAPABLE of drawing better; there are a few scenes in the flash where it looks very finished and stylized.

Thanks. Hmm yeah, maybe i could have drawn the characters more detailed at some points, but the more detailed you make something, the harder it becomes to animate. The organic, dynamic style was something very important for me in this one

oh wow

that was hilarious. Just so you know, BTW, in the revised subtitled edition the out-of-sync problem seems much worse than with the original.

Also, I actually liked some of the pictures; the ones that actually had something to do with what your were "singing". "SUCK MY COCK" on one of the pictures though... it's kinda old nowadays, don't you think?
